About Us

Founded in 1974, the North County Rape Crisis and Child Protection Center began as a vital support system for those in crisis in Lompoc. Over the years, it has expanded to serve all of northern Santa Barbara County, providing critical services to individuals and families in need.

With offices in both Lompoc and Santa Maria, the Center offers crisis intervention alongside a robust educational program aimed at prevention and awareness. Our services include:

• ChildSAFE Program – Personal safety education for K-9th grade students in local schools

• Word on the Street – Human trafficking prevention for at-risk youth

• Good Touch/Bad Touch Puppet Shows – Age-appropriate safety education for preschoolers

• Self-Defense & Sexual Harassment Prevention – Empowerment and awareness training

• Teen Dating Violence Prevention & Mandated Reporter Training – Education for students and professionals

These programs, along with many others, are designed to equip our community with the knowledge and resources to prevent abuse and support survivors.
